Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) is a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLBG) under the purview of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), tasked to develop the Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH) ecosystem in the country.

With the expected growth of the Muslim tourist market potential, ITC is poised to play a bigger role, positively impacting the nation’s tourism, hospitality, social, and economic landscape. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team in this leadership/managerial position to help steer ITC forward during these exciting times.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Malaysian citizen.
Holds a Bachelor’s degree,preferably in business, management or fields related to tourism and hospitality.
5 – 7 years of experience in project management or special projects in GLC with proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
Experience in tourism and hospitality or corporate training will be an advantage.
Ability to think strategically, align projects with organizational goals, and make decisions that contribute to overall business success.
Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic environments and manage projects across various industries and domains.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MANAGER, SPECIAL PROJECTS UNIT

Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of special projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Collaborate with senior management (Industry Development and Research and Training divisions) to align projects with the organization’s strategic objectives, identifying key deliverables and milestones.
Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, addressing issues and making adjustments as needed.
Conduct administrative duties including organize, file, and maintain all project documents, scheduling of meetings, etc.
Develop Business Models and Business Proposals for new business opportunities and close new business deals in recognition program of Muslim-friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH) locally and internationally.
Continuously analyze the position of the company and recommend ways to take advantage of the strength of the company as well as identify and stay up-to-date on new trends in tourism and MFTH developments.
Perform other duties assigned by the Director General and/or Director of Industry Development/ Research and Training division.
