Muslim-Friendly Tourist Guides (MFTG) are tourist guides licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia, who have undergone specialised training by Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) on Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH).

The MFTG training has equipped these guides with the knowledge and understanding of Muslim tourists’ faith-based needs.

The MFTG initiative began when ITC realised that the Muslim tourist market was growing and had specific needs and demands when it came to travel. To sharpen the guiding services that Malaysia offered to Muslim tourists, ITC worked with its partners to create modules and conduct training for licensed tourist guides in Malaysia to understand the specific faith-based needs of Muslim tourists. 

To date, a total of 131 licensed tour guides under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) have been certified as Muslim-Friendly Tour Guides all around Malaysia.
