Being a Global Halal Hub, Malaysia has an extensive network of Halal consumer products. For consumers, this includes food and beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) is the authorised body responsible for the standardisation of halal certifications since August 2009.

The Halal Directory is a compilation of information on manufacturing companies, food premises, hotels, consumer products and slaughter houses that have been certified as halal by JAKIM.
