ITC AND PARTNERS CELEBRATE THE SPIRIT OF GIVING THIS RAMADAN

SEPANG, 22 March 2025 – The adage “It is better to give than to receive” perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the Islamic Tourism Centre’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which successfully concluded at Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA on 22 March 2025.

This initiative, held in collaboration with strategic partners; Creative Page Sdn. Bhd., Grey Cube Sdn. Bhd., Mohd Chan Group, Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA, Mydin and SheDear Inspire Enterprise, was aimed at fostering meaningful connections and strengthening private-government-community bonds.

The event welcomed over 100 guests including 60 students and 20 teachers from Sekolah Rendah Agama Batu Belah, Klang, providing them with an enriching Ramadan experience. The programme featured Iftar, congregational Maghrib, Isya, and Taraweeh prayers, as well as Quran recitations and exciting activities.

Taking a proactive approach towards a more sustainable and better future, this initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 – Reduced Inequalities. By engaging with underserved communities, the programme promotes social inclusion, fosters a sense of belonging, and helps bridge socioeconomic gaps, ensuring that children from all backgrounds have access to cultural and spiritual enrichment.

Also in attendance was the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, who graced the occasion. The event was further enriched by contributions from ITC’s strategic partners—Creative Page hosted engaging activities and provided prizes, while Grey Cube contributed photography, videography, and invited three guest celebrities, adding vibrancy to the celebration. Mohamad Chan Group gifted duit raya to the students, while Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA supported the event with meals and venue sponsorship. Additionally, Mydin offered discounts on daily essentials, and SheDear Inspire provided gifts for the students.

The event was further enlivened by special appearances from public figures such as Shah Iskandar, Alif Hadi, and Firdaus Ghufran, who took part in contributing to both entertainment and hosting duties.
