23 INDUSTRY PLAYERS JOIN MALAYSIA’S PUSH STRENGTHEN MUSLIM-FRIENDLY TOURISM

PUTRAJAYA, 3 September 2026: The Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) is pleased to award the Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality Assurance and Recognition (MFAR) to 23 tourism industry players, comprising five hotels, seven travel agencies, and 11 spa and wellness providers (listed below), marking their commitment to enhancing services and experiences that cater to the needs of Muslim travellers.

TRIPARTITE ITC PARTNERSHIP ADVANCES REGIONAL MUSLIM-FRIENDLY TOURISM

IPOH, PERAK, 30 JULY 2026: Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC), The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), and the Association of the Indonesian Tours & Travel Agencies (ASITA), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the MATTA CONNECT Dinner at AC Hotel Ipoh in efforts to expand cross-border tourism and develop the regional Muslim-friendly travel market.
